Welcome to Little Garden Jobs… gardening services for Letchworth Garden City and surrounding towns and villages.

Specialising in small jobs such as lawn mowing, hedge cutting, weeding and overgrown garden tidy-ups, whether that be just a one off or part of regular maintenance such as weekly or fortnightly.

Basic charge – £20 per hour. (1 hour minimum)

Quotations

My basic charge is £20 per hour, and the only extras would be if you asked me to buy any products on your behalf such as a feed or plants from the garden centre.

Minimum time: 1 hour

You can have a mix of services in the time, e.g. lawn mowing plus weeding.

I can pop round to have a look and give you a rough estimate how long it will take, and therefore the expected cost.

Edging

Things to do in August

Planting – now is the time to be planting bulbs that will flower in the Autumn, such as cyclamen, and also to sow hardy annuals such as poppies that will bring masses of colour to your garden next year.

Lawn Mowing – grass will continue to grow in August, if we have rain!

Lawn edging – this makes a massive difference to the overall aesthetic appeal of your garden

Weeding – weeds continue to pop up all over the place so keeping on top of them is essential

Pruning – we can give a light prune to overgrown shrubs

Deadhead summer flowers and some of them might even give you a second bloom

Hedges – if overgrown, but be very careful of birds nests – a light trim is still best at this time of year

Feeding – for flowers and shrubs, with a general all purpose fertilizer.

Mulching – a good time to spread compost on borders, and I also like to spread bark – it subpresses weeds and looks great!
